Today, with support from the Government of Canada, BHER announces nine new work-integrated learning (WIL) partnerships with leading Canadian employers and post-secondary institutions. These WIL partnerships will help to create accessible and inclusive pathways to green jobs.

The Business + Higher Education Roundtable (BHER) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization bringing together Canada’s largest companies and leading post-secondary institutions. Since 2015, BHER has worked to harness the strengths of Canada’s business and post-secondary education sectors to build opportunities for young Canadians, boost innovation, and drive collaboration (Who We Are | Business + Higher Education Roundtable (bher.ca)).

Econext, Fanshawe College, Calgary Economic Development, Royal Roads University, United College (Green Youth), Queen’s University, Trent University, U-Links, and The PIER join BHER’s growing community of partners. They will create more than 6,000 WIL experiences for students over the next two years and help Canada develop the highly-skilled net-zero workforce it needs.
