Workshop: Recruiting and Utilizing Student Talent

Join us, for this activity-based workshop to get an understanding of different ways you can bring Calgary students into your organization.

Participants will leave the workshop with the ability to:

• Understand what work integrated learning is (and why you should work with students through a work integrated learning experience)
• Distinguish between the different types of student roles, including paid and unpaid options, available timing, and requirements to participate as an employer, as well as the pros/cons of each type of student placement
• Determine which student roles are best suited to your organization’s structure and goals
• Network with post-secondary institution representatives and the TalentED YYC team
• Explore Calgary’s Work Integrated Learning catalogue – an employer tool to understand student recruitment options and timing.
