Project
- A project is typically unpaid and functions in a part-time capacity under the supervision of a course instructor.
- Students work individually or in groups to develop a solution in between 2 and 16 weeks. Availability for guidance and mentorship from the organization is usually expected.
Benefits of a Project
Participating in a project could be a great way to quickly generate solutions for your business. You will have the opportunity to work with an individual or a group of students.
What a Project could look like:
Matthew, a marketing student, helps a local small business to develop an Instagram campaign.
During the experience, Matthew was mentored by his instructor and an external marketing agency. With their support, he develops a campaign strategy, budget, and content samples for the small business client.
Over 8 weeks, Matthew provides the client with social media knowledge and technical ability that was not readily available in-house.

Programs Example
In Ambrose’s Business Intelligence and Analytics course, students will develop analytical thinking through defining core activities that a business focuses on, including identifying clients/customers that a business serves, and creating value in what a business offers. Students will be challenged to integrate knowledge they have gained from other business core courses and apply their accumulated knowledge to business case studies.
This is just one example of a program that offers students looking for real life projects! Explore more opportunities like this by visiting our WIL Catalogue.
